Quiza, tambien me gustaria cantarles.
I can't believe that I've only been here three and a half weeks, and I established a relationship with two waiters. One of the waiters, in the beginning, was very nasty to me. He was mad because I was asking him for more ketchup with my food. I wanted more because the food here is very bland and dry. But as time went on, he loosened up. The other guy(Alejandro) was very helpful when I ever ordered any food here for the first time. He speaks English and Spanish but, he was born here. He gave me good advice that day. Then as time went on, he gave me more advice with the questions that were given from CCC. And last, he told Erica's mom that we must go to the river to see it and go on top of the Cathedral before we left. I'm so glad that I crossed his path and thankful for the advice he gave to me.
On the morning that we were leaving Spain, I was so sad. I was crying when I departed from my family. I felt that at that time, I had started to be attached to them. Maria and Fernando was so nice to me. Fernando remindeed me so much of my dad here in the states and Maria was nice in general. Although I was ready to come home, I really did not want to leave them either. The night before we were to leave, I spent the entire day with them for the last time. I still can't believe that people in this day and age can be so nice to others. They trusted me as if I was a member of their family. We got along so well and our relationship was like we knew each other for years. I would really like to keep in touch we them for the rest of my life.

SHELLEY BLOG #3 WEEK 4
Today, I had three exams that I have been studying for all day Sunday. The first one, was a written test. It was about what I thought it be. So I should pass that one with no problems. The second test, was oral only. When my turn came I wasn't nervous and I spoke clearly with the Spanish that I knew. So hopefully, I will pass that one too. The third class test was listening and write what you heard. Well, I don't think that went so well because the people on the cassette was talking too fast and I didn't catch a lot to write it down. So, that test is the only on and the grammar one too that I'm worry about.
I noticed while being here that I'm using more Spanish words than ever. You can go anywhere without saying something to somebody. So therefore, you must talk in Spanish. I've been using the Spanish language in stores, restaurants and most importantly in school. All the time my teachers make me use Spanish even if I don't know what to say. Along the way, they will help. At home, I have a choice but when she talk to me it's Spanish. So even if I don't know how to respond, I still need to understand what she is saying. Her husband speaks to me and he only knows Spanish. But at times I'm struggling with what he is saying. No matter what, I still have seen a great difference in the Spanish that I've learned thus far while being here in Spain.

SHELLEY BLOG #2 WEEK 4
Yo quiero sacar buenas notas.
After I studied for a while on Sunday, I went to the Plaza Mayor. I went there to call my mother and friends. I was so happy to hear my mothers' voice because I haven't heard from her in weeks. Also, I left because my family was gone for the weekend and I was home alone. I couldn't watch television beacuse I don't understand nothing they are saying. And if nothing else, I wanted to eat. After I was finished with eating and talking, I went back home to continue with studying. I really needed that quiet time to prepare myself for three exams that was for Tuesday.
I can't understand why my teacher is giving us so many verb tenses. I know that this is an intense course but, six is extremely too much. I feel that if we don't fully understand the very first one that she gave than, why continue to go on. I've ask her to explain more than once and for her to repeat things but, still the same way. If I am not learning at least one of the tenses than, this is a waste of time. I feel that it's better to fully understand one than, to teach more and lose the entire class. So tomorrow we will see what the outcome is after the exam. If the test proves that it's a lot than maybe she shouldn't teach as much. Or maybe our class load should not be as heavy. Whatever that has to be changed should be, so that our time is not wasted and we can learn a lot.

SHELLEY BLOG #1 WEEK 4
Ultimo viernes y sabado, fui a Lisboa, Portugal. Fui con mis amigos. Viajamos en tren por siete horas hasta llegar alli. Viajamos en autobus para ver la ciudad. Tomamos muchas fotografias de hermoso edificios. Fuimos a Hard Rock Cafe a cenar. Y entonces, fuimos a comprar regalos para nuestras familias.
When we went to Portugal, I went Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. Although, I'm suppose to be here exploring their way of eating, I was glad to get some food like at home. Now, some of the food in Salamanca is not so bad but, I was very excited to get my hands on that food that night. Because I don't eat everything here and some of it looks weird, salty, or with things in it that I don't eat. So sometimes I be very hungry. I had some buffalo wings and nachos with everything. The waitress was very nice to us and she even gave advice about different places in the city. She spoke both Portuguese and English. Which made me happy cause I know nothing about the Portuguese language.
While in Portugal, I went to a market that sold a lot of goods. They had various booths for different countries such as: Africa and India. They had everything except United States. I really enjoyed looking at the products that they had there. Most of the booths had jewelry, purses, clothes and paintings. And before we left, I even bought bracelets for my niece, nephew, god-child and myself. I watched this woman hand weave the bracelets as I stood there. Not that I was amazed but, I couldn't believe that people would think of something like that and sell it. But it was cool, I can always say that it was truly made in Portugal.
